The Art of the Song Archive has a New Home with Enhanced Features
Past Art of the Song shows are now living online at the Standing “O” Project.
As you know, we strive to give the Art of the Song community as much content as possible. At the same time, we’re doing everything we can to support artists and keep our program on the air.
By giving this original AotS content an exclusive home at the Standing “O” Project, fans have one more reason to join—and artists have that much more opportunity for a revenue stream. More fans joining the Standing “O” Project means more money for artists. This is especially critical in a time when CD sales are declining and it’s harder than ever to make a living as a musician.
A portion of the proceeds keep Art of the Song on the air and free to over 150 stations.
Now, in addition to listening to the full AotS shows as aired (as was the case when the archive was housed here), you can now listen to bite-sized interview segments catalogued by topic, as well as the raw, uncut “Naked” interview, with some of the juicy stuff that never made it to air.
Thank you for joining us here at Art of the Song. And if you want to join the Standing “O” and support singer-songwriters and Art of the Song, you’ll be able to visit past AotS shows as the fancy strikes you.
We’re facing some serious challenges in the music industry. CD sales and digital downloads are rapidly declining and we’re moving toward enjoying most of our music through streaming platforms (most of which do not pay artists fairly). Learn about the site that defines socially responsible streaming. Watch this video to see how you can be part of the solution:
