Our guest last week on Art of the Song was indie singer/songwriter Brooke Annibale. Brooke’s evocative musicianship is driven by an deep passion for songwriting. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Brooke’s grandfather opened a music retail and live-sound business in the 1960’s, that is still family-run today. As a guitar player, Brooke Annibale stands out with her deep groove and interesting stylistic choices. However, it’s her magnetic voice, that smoldering and irresistible delivery, that draws you in. We spoke with Brooke about her recent CD The Simple Fear.
In the second half of the show we hear from filmmaker/publisher Michael Weise with an essay on the connection between love, gratitude and creativity… for the Creativity Corner.
