Last week on Art of the Song we visited with My Darling Clementine, a husband and wife alt country duo from the UK. With harmonies reminiscent of Gram Parsons & Emmylou Harris, George Jones & Tammy Wynette, as well as Dolly Parton & Porter Waggoner, Lou Dalgleish and Michael Weston King embody the essence of the classic male-female country duet. Michael Weston King’s connection with country music has been well documented over the past 20 years, beginning with his days as a founding father of the British Alt. Country scene with his band, The Good Sons in the 1990s. Lou Dalgleish, a fine singer-songwriter in her own right, began her career as a dancer and actor. We had the pleasure of visiting with My Darling Clementine in our Albuquerque home studio.
